Tom: D
House Of The Rising Sun
Tabbed by Brandon Williams
B
Let me start off by saying I don't know what chord this is:
In all the other posts of this song, they call it an E7. But an
E7 looks like 020100. It sounds right
so I guess I'll call it an E7, too. Does anyone know how to play the organ solos on guitar? If so, contact
via e-mail. Anyway, my tab should be the most accurate of all the other posts of this song.
Intro:
This part repeats throughout the rest of the song and is also the solo backing:

Lyrics:
There is a house in New Orleans
They call the rising sun
And it's been the ruin of many a poor boy
And god, I know I'm one
My mother was a tailor
She sewed my new blue jeans
My father was a gambling man
Down in New Orleans
Now the only thing a gambler needs
Is a suitcase and a trunk
And the only time he's satisfied
Is when he's all drunk
Oh, Mother tell your children
Not to do what I have done
Spend your life in sin and misery
In the house of the rising sun
I've got one foot on the platform
The other foot on the train
I'm going back to New Orleans
To wear that ball and chain
Well, there is a house in New Orleans
They call the rising sun
And it's been the ruin of many a poor boy
And god, I know I'm one
